Newly re-designed, this 14.4-volt cordless drill/driver has more torque and run time than ever. It can drive up to 209 wood screws (#14 by 1-3/4 inches) or drill up to 61 holes with a 7/8-inch auger bit on a single charge. An advanced, fan-cooled motor provides the muscle to tackle the job at hand. The rugged, two-speed gearbox has machined gearing for reliability and provides speed ranges of 0 to 475 rpm and 0 to 1,450 rpm. The result is a maximum of 360 inch/pounds of torque in the lock-up position with 20 clutch positions for a variety of applications. Bit changes are simple with the 3/8-inch keyless chuck, and on-board storage for double-ended bits. The ergonomically correct handle has 360-degree rubber grips that are ribbed for a better hold. Battery replacement is easier, also. The batteries--two included--are a more efficient slide-on style with an easy one-button release instead of the clip-on style with two buttons. A smart charger with diagnostics charges the battery with a soft-pulse flow to protect the battery and increase overall life. The diagnostics will signal whether the battery is charging or fully charged as well as indicating that charging is being delayed until the battery is at the proper temperature, preventing damage. One year warranty with a 30 day performance certification.
